Virginia Braille Challenge
Supporting braille literacy and empowering students who are blind or visually impaired.
The Virginia Braille Challenge is an academic competition that celebrates braille literacy among blind and visually impaired students ages 6 to 19. Participants demonstrate skills in reading, writing, spelling, charting, and comprehension—building confidence, independence, and essential literacy for lifelong success. Local teachers, volunteers, and community partners help ensure every student has access to materials, resources, and support.
