The process begins with the Foundation deploying medical teams, supplies, and equipment to countries with defined needs, performing essential procedures that are otherwise unavailable. These initial outreach trips are crucial for building critical local relationships and identifying local providers suitable for advanced training.
Phase 2: Focused Training and Expertise Transfer
Once established in a community, the mission shifts from solely performing care to intensive, focused training of local providers and support staff. This empowerment phase builds the necessary expertise within the community, reducing reliance on outside intervention.
Phase 3: Long Term Support and Self-Sufficiency
The final stage is achieved when local medical teams are fully capable of providing independent care. The Foundation’s role transitions to a sustainable support model, providing necessary supplies, equipment, and ongoing education as needed.
